Features
Advanced 250cc 4-stroke engine
The 2027 YZ250F receives an all-new liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve, fuel-injected 250cc powerplant revised to increase power across the entire range with a rev limit 700 rpm higher than before. Despite the increase in power, a revised air cleaner and exhaust system reduces overall noise for FIM/AMA compliance, with a tuned exhaust note that's pleasing to the ear.
New Hydraulic Clutch
A new hydraulic clutch adopted from the YZ450F performs consistently for stable, dependable performance. An increased springload reduces the strength needed to pull in the lever, providing smooth feathering and engagement characteristics on par with a cable-clutch.
Aluminium bilateral beam frame
The 2027 YZ250F adopts the YZ450F's compact aluminium bilateral beam frame, providing the right amount of strength and flex for the perfect balance of stability and cornering performance. The result is a better handling machine with lighter feel, more agility and increased traction allowing the rider to enter corners with greater confidence and more line choices.
Adjustable suspension settings
New front and rear KYB suspension, including a new rear shock with a new base valve, piston and tool-less low speed compression adjuster, offers increased damping force, shock absorption and comfort that enhances overall traction.
Yamaha Power Tuner app
Like having factory team support in your pocket, Yamaha's groundbreaking Power Tuner App is revised to be even more user-friendly. Features include an intuitive “Simple Tuning” slide bar for engine mapping, Traction and Launch Control tuning, lap timer, along with helpful engine and suspension tuning guides.
Compact rear brake system
An all-new rear braking system provides linear stopping power with improved braking force and controllability in a smaller, lighter package. The size of the rear brake caliper and master cylinder pistons have been reduced, as well as the diameter of the rear brake disc.
Update bodywork
The 2027 YZ250F shares bodywork with the YZ450F, evoking YZ styling with an agile new look. A new compact numberplate, two-tone, two-piece side covers, a rigid rear fender, and a new seat with a honeycomb-patterned surface with optimal seat grip create a dynamic look with a clean new compact appearance.
