    The 2027 YZ450FX adopts the updated design of the YZ450F, with a philosophical change to its base function that focuses on improving comfort and controllability in technical terrain.

    Power character is focused on smoother delivery with more controllable low-RPM torque, making it easier to ride in technical conditions. The suspension characteristics have been specifically optimised to cater to the longer rides of competitive cross-country racing, providing more initial movement, comfort and compliance over slippery, rocky, and root filled terrain.

    Overall, the new YZ450FX is easier to ride faster, longer, especially on extremely technical trails.

    Features

    Powerful 450cc Engine

    The YZ450FX's thrilling liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke engine is designed to provide broad power character and ease-of-use, with ECU settings tailored to enhance both low-end tractability and top-end power.

    Bilateral beam frame

    The newly updated advanced aluminum bilateral beam frame with YZ450FX-specific engine mounts provides just the right amount of strength and flex for the perfect balance of straight-line stability and cornering performance. The result is a better handling machine with lighter feel, more agility and increased traction, allowing the rider to tackle tight, technical courses with greater confidence.

    Hydraulic Clutch

    The new YZ450FX adopts the YZ450F's hydraulic clutch, with a 15% reduced lever pull for reduced fatigue over longer rides.

    Class Leading Suspension

    World renowned suspension performance straight out of the box. High-spec fully adjustable Speed Sensitive System KYB® coil spring-type fork provides exceptional bump absorption, and features toolless compression clickers for easy adjustment and fork covers to help prevent debris damage. The linkage-type rear suspension features a KYB® shock with cross-country focused damping characteristics to match the YZ450FX's refined chassis.

    Easy access air filter

    A new air filter assembly, with the same outer resonator as the YZ450F, reduces overall noise for more comfortable riding.

    Yamaha Power Tuner App

    Like having factory team support in your pocket, Yamaha's Power Tuner App is even more user-friendly with an intuitive “Simple Tuning” slide bar for quick engine mapping selections, new four-level Traction Control, a lap timer, and helpful engine and suspension tuning guides. Best of all, it's free-of-charge.

    Slim Ergonomics

    The YZ450FX's slim, flat, compact body eases rider movement for improved control, including seamless, rounded features from seat edges and side covers to the narrow fuel tank and front shroud. The rider triangle is also designed to provide increased legroom between the seat and foot pegs for enhanced rider comfort.

    Cross Country Features

    Additional features include a PVC handlebar pad, rugged plastic skidplate, seamless seat cover, switchgear and a folding aluminium kickstand.
