What is the defect?
The horn lead wire is incorrectly positioned behind “Brake Hose 1”.
What are the hazards?
When turning the handlebar (from side to side) “Brake Hose 1” comes in contact with the horn lead wire. Rubbing action can cause wear and damage to the front "Brake Hose 1".
What should customers do?
To correct this defect, Yamaha is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign, whereby affected YZF-R3A models must have a replacement brake hose bracket fitted.
You should contact your local Yamaha Dealer to set up an appointment to have your model remedied free of charge.
