What is the defect?
Front brake hose supporting bracket may dislodge.
What are the hazards?
Continual rubbing between the brake hose and front fork can cause wearing of the brake hose and potentially lead to brake fluid loss. If the brake system was to lose fluid, this would decrease the effectiveness of the brakes and increase the chance of a crash causing serious injury to the rider and other road users.
What should customers do?
To correct these defects, Yamaha is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign, whereby affected YZF-R3A models must have a replacement brake hose bracket fitted.
You should contact your local Yamaha Dealer to set up an appointment to have your model remedied free of charge.
