What is the defect?
There is a potential for the Front Brake “Lever 2” to break when strong gripping force is applied on affected YZF-R3 & MT03 Models.
What are the hazards?
This may result in coolant leakage onto the road surface if cracks develop in the ageing hose.
What should customers do?
Yamaha is replacing the brake lever with countermeasure parts on any affected units with a specific stamping code.
You should contact your local Yamaha Dealer to set up an appointment to have your model remedied free of charge.
