What is the defect?
Due to a software fault in the vehicle’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU) the engine may stall resulting in an unexpected loss of vehicle control accompanied by a warning light on the instrument panel.
What are the hazards?
The incorrect ECU program can cause unexpected engine stalling, poor performance and engine lights to be displayed.
What is the remedy?
To correct this defect, Yamaha has created an updated ECU program.
