Yamaha Motor New Zealand Ltd is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign on certain MT10, MT09, NIKEN and XT1200 motorcycles.

WHAT IS THE DEFECT?
The faulty brake switch can inhibit the cruise control and constantly illuminate the rear brake light.
WHAT ARE THE HAZARDS?
If brake lights constantly illuminate, this may give other road users incorrect vehicle signals, increasing the risk of an accident or injury or death to rider(s) and/or other road users.
WHAT IS THE REMEDY?
To correct this defect, Yamaha is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign, whereby affected models must have the brake switch replaced.
WHAT TO DO?
You should contact your local Yamaha Dealer to set up an appointment to have your model remedied free of charge.
