FJR1300AE/P 2nd Gear Upgrade
Yamaha Motor New Zealand Ltd is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign on certain FJR1300AE/P motorcycles.

WHAT IS THE DEFECT?
The teeth of the 2nd gear may break due to excessive stress loading during shifting and missed 2nd gear selection resulting in loss of power.
WHAT ARE THE HAZARDS?
If there is a failure to change gears and loss of power while riding, this could increase the risk of an accident or injury or death to rider(s) and/or other road users.
WHAT IS THE REMEDY?
To correct this defect, Yamaha is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign, whereby affected FJR1300 models must have the main and drive axle assembly replaced and ECU reprogramed.

You should contact your local Yamaha Dealer to set up an appointment to have your model remedied free of charge.
