Yamaha brings YZ65 cup to Auckland SX Open

Registrations are now closed, the first 10 entrants will be contacted shortly, many thanks to all who entered.

Yamaha Motor New Zealand is pleased to announce an experience of a lifetime for YZ65 riders at the Auckland SX Open, this November.

The YZ65 Cup will be held at Mt Smart Stadium on 16 November 2019. Yamaha is offering 10 spots for kids to perform in front of a national crowd alongside top supercross riders including international superstars.

Each selected rider will have access to a full bLU cRU experience including pitting under the Josh Coppins Racing Factory Truck, meeting Yamaha Factory riders, autographs, free entry, merchandise and of course the unique opportunity to participate in the YZ65 Cup.

Entry is now open through the Yamaha Motor New Zealand website and Facebook page. Registrations will be allocated based on eligibility and a first in first served basis.

To be eligible, kids must be aged between 8-11 years of age, must own a YZ65 and have a MNZ or Junior licence number.

Yamaha Motor New Zealand will cover promotion of the event and provide each rider with their own supercross profile in the build up to and during the event.

Along with the extensive media coverage that the Auckland SX open attracts, Yamaha Motor New Zealand are also supporting the event with photo and video coverage that will be supplied to riders and released during and post the SX open event.

The YZ65 cup was first bought to NZ earlier this year, and kicked off at Harrisville during the third round of the MX Nationals, following a series of YZ65 cup events in Australia last year.

The YZ65 cup event at Mt Smart will be the first of its kind on a Supercross track, and a chance for the riders to exhibit their riding skills in front of a record national crowd.
