End of season 2009 for Rob Mac Racing

Safe End To A Tough season

12 Oct 2009

The curtain fell on the 2009 British Championship with all three Rob Mac Racing riders finishing strong and healthy!

The hectic racing weekend saw many riders suffer accidents or mechanical problems, so for all the team riders and machines to finish the season well and with a strong points haul was a well earned bonus.

Team leader Chris Walker once again flew the flag for the Motorpoint Henderson's Yamaha team with two strong races and a well earned 7th position in the second race.

"I am pretty relieved to have got this last race over; I have been around some pretty scary accidents this weekend and have survived in tact! The second race was good for me and the boys, we have all worked hard and to finish with a good result makes it all worthwhile. It has been a tough year with the new bike and I want to thank all the team for the hard work they have put in, I have my new baby to look forward to this winter so I'm buzzing"

Graeme Gowland finished the year strong with a fine ride to 11th position after his big crash yesterday.

"I wrecked my bike yesterday with a bad crash and the guys worked all night to build me a knew one so I really want to thank them, I settled down and had a good run in the second race and felt pretty good, its been a steep learning curve year and one I have enjoyed"

Dan Linfoot who threw himself at the Superbike class for the last two rounds finished the day scoring his first Superbike championship point.

"I have to say that this weekend has been all bit scary! This circuit on a Superbike is amazing and has to be treated with respect. Throughout the weekend I have made good progress and worked out many aspects of riding a bike with 200 bhp.

I want to thank all the boys for the season"

Rob Mac
"With 3 races at Oulton it was always going to be a little nerve wracking! Graeme survived a huge crash yesterday and I had my fingers crossed for them all today.

Lots of riders were making mistakes as the end of the season big finale drew to a close and thankfully all our guys made it home! It has been a frustrating season, one we expected much more, the new bike has been tricky to work out, I want to thank all the lads for digging in all year and all our partners for sticking with us.

We will regroup and come back on fire for 2010!"
